Proceed down Dairy Road across the intersection with Haleakala Highway and continue on to the stoplight at the intersection with Puunene Avenue. You will pass the Maui Market Place, the fire station, Home Depot and a giant, humongous church (all on your left). At Puunene Road, you will turn left. If you are in the left, left turn lane (there are 2), it will be easier to merge as you proceed. Travel past the H&CS sugar mill (ahh, smell the molasses) and bear sharp right onto the Mokalele Highway.
Sit back and enjoy the sugar cane scenery and Wili Wili trees (unless it is dark) until you get to the intersection with Piilani Highway. This will be about 6 miles. Proceed through the intersection until you get to Kihei Road (a very short distance). At the stop sign you will turn left onto South Kihei Road; if you turn right, you will be on North Kihei Road (the wrong way).
Proceed down South Kihei Road for some distance (don’t forget, you started at #1 and need to go to #2695). It’s maybe 3 or 4 miles. When you get to Kamaole Center and Denny’s (on the left), slow down! You’re almost there. Proceed through the next intersection and look to your left; look for the driveway and the sign Kamaole Sands, 2695 South Kihei Road. You have arrived!
