Local Info
Here are some links of Places to Go and Things to Do! Some of them are local and some not so local.
A good place to start is an overall listing of some interesting places on Maui. If you want to find out about other activities, "click" on Maui Sites and check out the other listings. If your plans will take you to some of our other islands, check them out here, as well.
One of the first things you will see on your way to pick up your transportation to travel to your accommodations are racks of tourist information. There will be quite a few! Take some time to peruse some of them as they contain many ideas on things to see and do. They also contain coupons for discounts at many of the attractions and places to eat. There are several that are quite handy; they include:
Another good place to check out activities, history and cultural information are the links below.
Want to find out about the local weather, the local news?
Many couples come to Maui to be married or to renew their vows. While there are many beautiful, picturesque areas to conduct these services (like the grounds of Kamaole Sands), some of the most beautiful take place on the beaches. There are quite a few local vendors available to help you plan, coordinate and provide you with the services that you may require. The link below mentions a few of them as well as some useful visitor information.
Like to golf? Almost as many people who come to be married, come to play golf. Maui has many golf courses, with nearly a half dozen in the Kihei area. It must be hard to concentrate on the game with such beautiful scenery! The following links are for some of the areas nearby; links are also provided for several sites that cover the entire island. If golf is your bag, check 'em out!

The following links give an overall view of the golf courses in Maui county. They duplicate the above links but they do contain general course descriptions. If you have time, check out www.mauimapp.com (at the bottom of the first link) as it contains some interesting links. Some of them are a bit outdated, though.
If this will be your first trip to Maui, you may want a little help with places to dine. Some people like to explore for themselves but many would like a "heads up". The link below was provided by a "local" couple and provides some idea as to menu and price.
What trip to the Islands would be complete without attending a luau? There are quite a few here in Maui. Listed below are several that we have attended and highly recommend.

Take a virtual tour of the Hana Highway; then take the "real" one!
Like to find out how the Hawaiian Islands were formed and are still being formed? Check this link and consider a tour to the Big Island to see for yourself. I must say, it is an impressive site and an unforgettable experience!
The following tours and activities are for a fee. They are kind of awesome! Some are not cheap, but they have been worth it; you will have to decide, if you care to partake in any of these.
Are you into drag racing? Here in Maui, things get kind of exciting on the 3rd weekend of every month (excluding December and January). That’s when the” boys” (and ladies, too) head out to Pu’unene and the Valley Isle Timing Association’s drag strip. Check out their site and if you get a chance, go out and support them.

A lot of people have asked; "What time is it there?" Hawaii doesn't observe Daylight Savings Time. When asked a local replied; "What for?" The clock below will let you determine the time difference from where you are. Updates of the local weather are also provided.
